Mission Statement

We, the students, teachers, parents, non-teaching staff, and cooperation partners, shape our school life according to the following mission statement:

The Freiherr-vom-Stein Vocational College in Werne considers it its duty to offer students a high-quality education within a spectrum of future-oriented technical educational programmes. Our supportive and challenging environment enables the development of technical and social interests as well as personal talents, the targeted development of individual potential, the enjoyment of lifelong learning, and the sustainable use of resources.

All those involved in school life are encouraged to:

  • think critically and creatively,
  • communicate professionally and appreciatively,
  • embrace diversity,
  • act respectfully and responsibly towards themselves, others, and their environment.

For us as a community at the Freiherr-vom-Stein Vocational College in Werne, this results in the following guiding principles:

  1. We learn and work both together and individually.
  2. We impart professional, social, and personal competencies.
  3. We develop our school into a good place to learn and work.
  4. We treat ourselves and others with care; we do not tolerate any kind of violence.
  5. We realise regional and international cooperation.

The school community actively participates in the implementation and continuous development of the mission statement.
